“Overall was a good stay. Listening stated a grill but didn’t have a tank so we brought a small charcoal grill. The hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. Pet friendly so we got to bring our dog. Kitchen had everything we needed except a pair of tongs. Close to Kroger, Family Dollar and Dollar General for any odds and ends we needed.”

“The cabin was very nice. The only issue we had was it doesn't have a microwave - but we managed. The downstairs AC works very well! The upstairs AC was working really hard but it was still a little warm upstairs.The lady that dropped by with clean towels - Peggy - was such a sweet lady and even brought us brownies! We truly appreciated that.”

“With this being a River camp you can't expect to see an immaculately clean home.You are living with nature so expect flying insects. No DRINKING water is provided however water is delivered to the house for showers, washing dishes and flushing the toilet (use sparingly). Plenty of outdoor seating on the nice covered porch facing the river.”

“The cabin was clean and well maintained. Mike, the host, was very accommodating on a couple small issues upon arrival. The hot tub was excellent. Will definitely return for another trip to Burr Oak state park.”

“What a great house and property. We were visiting the Caldwell area for a birthday party and reunion. This house fit our needs just right. Being dog friendly is a huge plus, as my dog enjoyed the wide open spaces of the yard and surrounding areas. We had a busy schedule outside the house so we didn’t get to use much of it, but what we did use was highly functional. The house is rustic, but in a charming way. I’d stay again.”

“Nice place for 2 people quite so cute , We were right across street from road that took use straight to dock to rent pontoon or kayak. Definitely worth the trip and fun .Thank you so much rental family. ”

“We were looking for a place to relax after a couple of long hikes at burr oak. When you first step in front of the door, you smell mustiness. Its even more so when you open the door. We smelled the linens on the beds and picked the one that didnt smell as musty. Even bath towels had a musty odor. Couldnt find the fridge and host told us it was under the stove. Found it after figuring out how to open it. Its a dorm sized fridge, which would have been fine, but it was half a block of solid ice...
